Pecan Cinnamon Rolls
Talk about the ultimate comfort food!
Something about a warm cinnamon roll…Does it get any better?!
It does when you use our Protizyme Butter Pecan, some cinnamon, coconut sugar, pastry flour, and just a few other simple ingredients for a dense, chewy, and oh so gooey treat!
This is going to be your new favorite comfort food that packs tons of protein!
INGREDIENTS
Cinnamon Roll:
1 scoop @metabolicnutrition Butter Pecan Cookie (35g)
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour (120g)
1 Tbsp unsweetened applesauce (18g)
1 single serve container of vanilla nonfat greek yogurt (5.3oz / 150g)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 Splenda packets
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Dash of salt
Filling:
2 Tbsp coconut sugar (18g)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
pinch of salt
splash of water
INSTRCUCTIONS
- Mix together cinnamon roll ingredients - use hands to combine
- Form a ball - if too sticky add a little more flour
- Dust counter with flour - roll dough into rectangle
- Mix together filling ingredients - add a teeny tiny bit of water to get a slightly runny
- Spread filling on flat dough
- Roll and slice into 5 equal pieces
- Place in baking dish coated with nonstick spray - best if they are a tight fit
- Bake at 350F for 28 minutes
Frosting Options:
Powdered sugar mixed with milk to thin
Cream cheese, vanilla extract, and sweetener to taste
